OK, you've got your site ideas , names etc. It is now time for finding somewhere to set it all up and put the pieces together. For this you will need to choose one of the web hosts below. A web host is a company that has computers hooked up to the internet 24/7. These computers are called servers and they are assigned IP numbers so that they can be found by other computers hooked up to the internet. It is on these servers that all of your web files are stored, be they HTML files (web pages), graphic files, CSS files, Javascripts or whatever.
Theses web hosting servers that store and serve up web pages to the internet cost money to set up, configure and maintain and thus web hosting providers that own the servers typically charge rent. However, there are some companies that rent out there servers for free and for as long as you want to keep your website on them! All they do is add a sub-domain onto your chosen name.
For instance,
-A domain is www.google.com
-A sub-domain is www.google.company.com = FREE (If you don't want the sub-domain on your site URL, check out stage 3!)
You will also have to check on the companies website that the name you want hasn't been taken. If it has try another company website!
